Register a parcel of sky — The Sky Bureau

THE SKY BUREAU · APPLICATION TO REGISTER A PARCEL

The sky belongs to everyone. The Bureau parcelled it out and keeps a register of who holds which place, and why.

Entry of a parcel of sky in the register

The Bureau will register the surveyed parcel to the holder you name. Fill in the sheet — the name of the parcel, whose sky it is and why. The dedication is the heart of the document — it is what delivers the sky.

Form of entry

Small preview of a Sky Bureau certificate of title — an official A4 sheet with seal, case number and QR code.

You name the parcel yourself and choose the date of entry — the day it all began, perhaps.

Prices are final. Every package includes the dedication.

Holder — whose sky it is

The holder's name forms part of the public extract in the register. A first name or an alias is enough — the Bureau does not require a full name.

Do not disclose the holder in the public register.

The full name stays on the certificate of title. In the register, on the map and on the globe the parcel will be kept without a name — in its place the Bureau states “Holder not disclosed — at their own request.” The parcel name, its location and the case number remain public.

Reason for entry in the register

A personal line for the recipient — why this sky in particular. This is what they will read.

Buyer’s e-mail

The Decision on Allotment with the gift link arrives here. We never publish it.

Notices from the Bureau

I do not wish to receive notices from the Bureau about new editions and seasonal allotments.

Leave the box empty and the Bureau will write to this address now and then — a few times a year at most — about new editions and seasonal allotments. One click in any such message ends it. It has no bearing on your order: the Decision on Allotment, the gift link and the consignment are delivered either way.

Registered by — who is entering the parcel (optional)

One name — the Bureau records a single giver. If the gift is from two of you, name the one who will hand it over. Leave it blank and the certificate will carry no giver's name.

Date of entry

As of which day shall the Bureau register it? An anniversary, a first date, a birth — or the day you hand the gift over. The Bureau does not enquire, the Bureau registers. A year ahead at the most.

Language of the ceremonial issue

The language in which the Bureau will address the recipient: the ceremony, the certificate of title and the summons for handover. Your own confirmation and receipts stay in the language you are ordering in.

Handover

I will hand it over myselfThe Bureau issues a summons for handover to print. You deliver the consignment in person — the recipient scans the official code and the sky opens. The Bureau delivers it by e-mailThe Bureau despatches the consignment itself to the recipient's address. Useful when you are apart — or when it has to arrive at exactly the right moment.

SUMMARY BEFORE PAYMENT

This is what the Bureau will register and what you will pay. Anything above can be corrected up to the moment of payment.
