The Bureau announces the overflight of the Draconids. The shower is notorious for either failing to appear at all or arriving in numbers the Bureau cannot record fast enough. No forecast is therefore issued. It is observed straight after dusk, not towards morning.

Notice of the Bureau
The Bureau announces the overflight of the Orionids — small remnants of Halley's Comet, which calls in person once every seventy-five years and sends dust in the meantime. The Bureau accepts the consignments without reservation.
